As the title says: When you type something in the advanced Mate search bar which is not a part of a name on installed app, a number of search options are suggested. One is google.

Can someone remove that, please?

- When I use the search feature in mate menu. it includes google as a search tool option. can’t that be changed or disabled?
- Only by modifying the code.

- How did you disable Google and Dictionary?
- Right click on the menu and select preferences. It’s all in there in the applications tab.

I think that this should be removed as an option. While not explicitly required for a libre distribution, it isn’t very nice to see. Parabola has a nonprism repo that can be used to remove such features. I think more distros like Trisquel and Guix should adopt this idea.
