Login Fails after new installation

Hey, I'm new to Trisquel, but not new to Linux. After installing Trisquel onto my hard drive with the LiveCD, I rebooted and attempted to login to the new install. After typing in my username and password, it gave me the beep meaning my password was wrong. I retried several times, all of them gave me that beep. I even tried reinstalling Trisquel, but had the same problem. Any idea what might be wrong?
Maybe the keyboard layout you used to type the keyword during the install is different from the layout you now have at the login screen (and that you can change from a menu at the bottom of the screen).
Thanks. I ended up installing it so it would log in automatically, then changed it to ask for a password once I was in. Now all I need to do is get my wireless card working. xD
