Emacs very high CPU usage in latest Ecne build

I updated my Trisquel to the latest build[1] and saw Emacs is constantly using 100% of one of my cores. Prior to that in the previous Ecne build[2], it was acting normally (consuming ~5% of my CPU). Could someone please help to find the cause and to fix it?

Steps to reproduce:
0- Start a fresh Ecne Beta 4 (live or installed)
1- Install emacs with apt-get
2- Open Emacs (in GUI, terminal or a tty)
3- Find a simple file test.txt
4- Monitor the load on CPUs

[1] Ecne Beta 4 (04 feb 2026) downloaded from https://cdbuilds.trisquel.org/ecne/
[2] Ecne Beta 3 (27 dec 2025) downloaded from https://devel.switnet.org/test-isos/

I installed only from [2], I did not notice any issue with emacs.

Which packages do you have for emacs? (output of dpkg -l "*emacs*")

Yes, [2] was working just fine. The issue happened as soon as I installed [1].

I'm running a fresh OS and haven't installed any Emacs packages.

The same happens if you rename ~/.emacs (that is, in your home directory, the hidden file named ".emacs", that graphical file managers usually let you see if you press Ctrl+H) and restart Emacs?
