Triquel 11.0.1 failing to boot on Lenovo Thinkpad E16 Gen1

Hi.

I've recently downloaded Trisquel 11.0.1 and tried installing it on my Thinkpad, at first when booting from USB it displayed the GRUB menu correctly, but none of the entries worked, when I tried one it just displayed a blank screen (I suppose an error occurred since it stayed like that for 15 minutes). I've tried to use other parameters for GRUB entry (like nomodeset, noapic, and nodraid) but again with no luck.

Secure Boot is disabled, I checked the hash of the ISO in it corresponds with the one on the site. Is there something I forgot, or my specific Thinkpad model is not suitable for Trisquel?

Given how recent the hardware, I would try with Trisquel 12: https://devel.switnet.org/test-isos/trisquel_12.0.0_amd64.iso

Ryzen GPU cards are not well supported without blobs.

UPDATE

I tried Trisquel ecne 12.0 again with no luck, every time I boot from the live installation it shows me the grub menu (Without the classic wallpaper, just a black wallpaper, it must be a sign), and every time I select one of the menuentry (Which is not important) I see only a blank screen (I won't change after 10 minutes so I guess an error occurred), even with this version I tried with the linux parameters like before (nomodoset, noapic, ecc..). The wiki states that Trisquel runs on any thinkpad (https://trisquel.info/en/wiki/thinkpad), maybe it's time to update it and insert some exceptions. Now I'm trying to figure out if its the processor or has something to do with UEFI, amd drivers are released as open source (as stated on the amd site) and integrated in the linux kernel, so it leaves the UEFI as the most probable cause. Unfortunately, the thinkpad E16 is so new that doesn't take into account that some system run better with BIOS, and it doesn't even provide a CMS (Compatibility Support Module). Now I'm trying to use the latest linux-libre kernel (6.19.1) and see if something changes. If it does I'll update you.

nvm I didn't see you wrote disable secure boot.

That is odd... that this wasn't enough to help you.

Pity...

I could get my one ryzen comps working without blobs easily enough.

I tended to use that only for gaming in case anyone wondered.

This being said, I could load it with linux-libre-lts.

I wonder why yours can't.

Maybe its something to do with framework that is why i can?

idk...

You could test debian + linux-libre-lts or something.

I don't know if itll work, but its worth a try if nothing else just for a test.
